Municipal Building | Bennington, NY

Stately was contracted by the Bennington Highway Department in Bennington, NY to construct a 60x80x16-foot pole barn for housing and maintaining essential municipal equipment. The project began with careful site preparation and the installation of Perma-Column Sturdi-Wall brackets into the concrete piers, which keeps the wooden posts elevated above ground to ensure durability and prevent rot.

Stately’s team then constructed the sturdy wooden frame, installed a modern steel roof and walls using industry-leading Everlast II panels. Additional features like vented eaves and a ceiling liner were added to improve airflow and insulation.

Inside, a concrete floor with integrated drainage provides a practical space for storing and servicing heavy machinery. The exterior includes a covered area that offers additional room for storage and parking. The completed pole barn is a high-quality, spacious structure that protects the department’s essential equipment and enhances operational efficiency. Built to withstand the area’s harsh weather, this facility will be a valuable part of Bennington’s infrastructure for years to come.
